Lion Brand has been making thicker yarn for years now, and they recently debuted a yarn ideal for these needles! WOW! That's not a wow (well, it is), but it's also the name of the yarn! WOW! Wow is an impressive yarn with a massive gauge of 3 stitches/ 4" (10cm).

Wow is a 70%/30% acrylic/wool yarn that works up squishy soft, yet still warm and cozy! Watch the side panels of this website for an upcoming VKAL (Video Knit-A-Long) with Lion Brand, WOW, and BigStix!

Color clouds is the second yarn from Lion Brand in the Jumbo category. Jumbo (category 7) yarns are yarns that have a gauge of 6 stitches/4" (10cm) or fewer. Coolor Clouds comes in at that magical 6 stitches point. This means it's best used with BigStix doubled, which opens up the possibilities of it's 11colours dramatically! Even when using two balls of the same colour, you'll get stunning results with the already variegated yarn.

Color clouds is a 100% premium acrylic yarn and feels as soft as it's name! Here is a link to the colours ... Color Clouds.

Now we move into the Super Bulky (6) category of yarns from Lion Brand that are good for BigStix. We're starting with Country and I'll let Shea tell you all about it.

Country is also  100% premium acrylic yarn and is made in the USA! As with Color Clouds, you'll get dramatic effects when doubling this yarn, especially since it's already a bi-coloured yarn! Here is a link to the colours ... Country.

The fourth yarn I'd like to mention from Lion Brand is the Wool Ease Thick & Quick. Be careful,as there are a few different Wool Ease yarns out there. They are all category 6 yarns as well, Super Bulky, and all 80%/20% acrylic/wool combinations.what make this one different is that it comes in at 9 stitches per 4"(10cm). Even though you need to triple it for the BigStix, it's being added here because of the incredible range of colours available!! The Rex pattern is a scarf made with 3 strands of Thick & Quick, and grafted to form an infinity cowl.

The pattern for Rex is available on this site! Here is a link to the colours ... Thick & Quick.
